At Dover Middle School, music is more than just a class — it’s a community where students learn, create, and grow together. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time or continuing your musical journey, there’s a place for you in our program!

• Band – Woodwinds, brass, and percussion students play everything from classical to pop.
• Chorus – Singers of all levels join together in harmony and build vocal skills.
• Drama Club
• Jazz Band & Select Ensembles – Auditioned groups for students seeking an extra challenge and more performances.

 

🎼 How It Works

• Small-Group Lessons – 30-minute rotating lessons for focused, hands-on instruction.
• Ensemble Rehearsals – Practice during the school day as part of the curriculum.
• Skill Building – Learn to read music, improve technique, and perform with confidence.

Students shine throughout the year in:

• 2-3 Concerts per year
• Community events/performances
• District & State Music Festivals
