Dover Middle School Sports

Dover High/Middle School’s Winter Sports Teams will begin practices and tryouts on and at the following dates and times: 

DMS Basketball Girls & Boys(7th & 8th Grade only) will begin on Monday, November 17th. MS boys basketball will be from 2:30-4:15pm. MS girls basketball will be from 4:15-6pm. Both will take place in the DMS gym.

DMS Cheer(5th-8th grade) try outs will be on Monday, December 1st, in the DMS gym, from 6:00-8:00pm.

All student-athletes and their parent/guardian are required to complete an on-line athletic registration, which opens on Monday, 11/3, prior to the first practice/tryout through our new registration platform, FinalForms, at https://dover-nh.finalforms.com/.  All student-athletes will be charged $80 service fee after teams have been selected and rosters have been established for the season.  Only those student-athletes who qualify for “reduced lunch” will receive a reduced service fee while those student-athletes who qualify for “free lunch” will receive a waiver of the service fee.

All student-athletes must have a physical examination prior to the first practice/tryout. Physicals are valid for a two-year period from date of issuance.  Physicals will be offered at Seacoast Orthopedics located on 7 Marsh Brook Drive, Building A Somersworth, NH 03878. Please call to set up an appointment.

Every student-athlete should come prepared to workout on the first day.  Neck guards are required for all ice hockey players.  Additionally, each athlete should bring their own water bottle for practices and tryouts.
